LaChelle Chyrsanne is a writer and director whose work centers on bold, intimate storytelling with a focus on underrepresented voices. Rooted in themes of identity, belonging, and community, her directorial style blends visual sensitivity with a grounded, character-driven approach.
Her debut short film, One of The Guys, was a recipient of Blacktag and Johnnie Walker’s First Strides grant. She is currently developing her next short, baby, baby, baby, with support from the PANO Network microgrant, while expanding into commercial and music video work. Most recently, she directed a spec commercial for adidas, exploring the cultural versatility of the Samba sneaker through movement, fashion, and the vibrant texture of New York City.
Before directing, LaChelle built a strong foundation as a creative producer. Her production credits include high-impact projects such as HBO Max's Black & Missing mapping activation at The Reginald F. Lewis Museum and TONE, an affirmational podcast for Black and Latinx women and non-binary people by Planned Parenthood, which earned an Anthem Silver Award for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
At the core of all her work—whether narrative or commercial—is a commitment to telling emotionally resonant stories that challenge convention, spark dialogue, and build community.
